Jimmy Murphy Biography Coverage

This week has seen the 60th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster. As the biography of Jimmy Murphy is released on the 15th, there has been understandable media attention, with the Daily Mirror and Manchester Evening News running excerpts of the book.

On Friday 2nd February, the Mirror ran a two page article featuring three excerpts – it was also in their online edition, which can be read here.

On Tuesday 6th, the Manchester Evening News included 3 more excerpts and another two-page spread in their commemorative edition.

On the date of the anniversary I was also asked to take part in a couple of radio interviews. The first was for BBC Radio Ulster where I was asked about Jimmy’s work in the aftermath of the disaster and also about the story regarding how United almost signed Ferenc Puskas. You can listen here from approximately 2 hours 16 minutes into the show.

I was also on Irish Radio show “Off The Ball” and you can listen to me talking about Jimmy’s contribution to United history here.

I have been invited onto BBC Radio Manchester, beIN Sport and MUTV, and all of those appearances will hopefully take place in launch week as I am currently working out in Los Angeles.
